The goal of the project was to create a system for the joint calibration of a set of 3D cameras (RealSense) with a corresponding array of tiny projectors. The project necessitated the development of both a customized software and hardware solution. Given the project’s distinctive nature, specific calibration targets were designed. An additional challenge involved adapting consumer-grade projectors to achieve the desired projection properties. The primary challenge was centered around creating a technique that could calibrate multiple cameras and multiple projectors within a single reference frame. The project was predominantly implemented in C++ using the OpenCV library and was deployed on Nvidia Jetson (Linux). The project was conducted in collaboration with Vineland Research.
